This is an awesome Irish independent movie directed by Jhon Carney in 2007. The soundtrack is even better , contains a lot of beatiful songs, my selection here: “The Hill” and “If you want me”.

Yesterday I watched “Jerry Macguire” again, and I think exactly the same that the first time: brilliant, emotional, unforgettable.

Expiation (Atonement) 2007.

Atonement is a 2007 film adaptation of Ian McEwan‘s novel of the same name.

I have just watched it again on TV, and I  this time liked me more than the first time I watched on the cinema, it’s a very good and touching movie.

These two images remain in my memory: Keira Knightley beautiful, pensive, dressed in green, and the vision of the madness in the evacuation of Dunkirk in the II World War

A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian.

I have got this small pocket edition with red and blue colors in the cover, and when I started to read it I thought that it was a funny light comedy about love between different ages partners, I was wrong because this novel is much more than it.

Yes, a “A short history” is funny, but is also magic and tragic.

Talks about complex family relationships and dark and hidden secrets.

It’s a parallel and very interesting history also about engineering, tractors that became tanks, cruelty and war.

Marina Lewycka creates unforgettable characters that are deep and rich. Valentina is a cheater, is a hunter, but she is a victim also.

I recommend you a quiet read without prejudices, and sure this genuine and honest history enthralls you.

The Guardian: Better late than never

Map of the sounds of Tokio.

The movie premiere was in Cannes Films Festival this year and could be saw in the Spanish cinemas on Friday August 28th.

This is a dramatic thriller directed by Isabel Coixet, who always invent very personal and poetic worlds in her films.

Rinko Kikuchi a fish-market employee who doubles as a contract killer and Sergi Lopez live a strange and tender love story involved by the Tokyo sounds and scents.
